RE: FAA Docket No. FAA-2003-15495

To whom it may concern,

As an organization representing more than 5000 residents who will be negatively impacted by FAA Docket No. FAA-2003-15495, Witham Airport Action Majority (WAAM), objects in the strongest possible manner to the proposed removal of current weight restrictions (even on a limited basis) at the Martin County Airport, which would then allow for an increase in aircraft landing-weight limits.

Our airport has already seen a phenomenal growth in jet traffic over the last few years to the detriment of the quality of life in our community. FAA Docket No. FAA-2003-15495 will, without question, cause an even more negative impact on our citizens.

With the additional problem of accelerated deterioration of runways designed for lower aircraft weights, this proposal is cause for great alarm to residents in the communities surrounding the Martin County Airport. We most urgently recommend that this proposal be withdrawn.

Sincerely yours,

/s/

Lynne Pine, President,
Witham Airport Action Majority
